Do you love oatmeal cookies? We sure do in this house! But the debate on whether to add raisins or chocolate chips happens every time I start whipping up a batch of these awesome cookies.

So this time I decided to appease everyone in the house by omitting both & replacing them with delicious Raisinets. Raisinets are one of my favorite candies & never last too long in this house.

So adding them to these super yummy Chewy Raisinets Oatmeal Cookies just totally made my day.

Now, one thing I really love about this cookie recipe is that it requires no chill time. Chill time can be absolutely essential to certain cookie recipes, such as my .

It’s so important for the dough to sit & let the flavors come together while the the consistency firms up enough to reduce spread when baking.

But these little gems can be mixed & baked right away. That is really great for those days when I don’t plan ahead & yet really, really want to sink my teeth into a cookie.

Ingredients for Raisinete Cookies

  • egg
  • unsalted butter– room temperature
  • light brown sugar
  • granulated sugar
  • vanilla extract
  • 1½cupsquick oats
  • all-purpose flour
  • baking soda
  • salt
  • Raisinets

Chewy Raisinets Oatmeal Cookies

If you love delicious, soft & chewy oatmeal cookies & can’t decide between adding chocolate or raisins to them. These cookies will definitely be your new favorite. You just can’t make a better cookie.

How to Make Raisinete Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350F,
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment or silicone mat; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, add egg, butter, sugars & vanilla – beat well.
  4. Add the oats, flour, baking soda & salt – stir to combine.
  5. Fold in Raisinets
  6. Using a medium cookie scoop, form mounds & place on prepared baking sheet spaced about 2 inches apart
  7. Bake 10-13 minutes or until edges have set -don’t overbake. Cookies firm up as they cool.
  8. Immediately upon taking the baking sheet out of the oven, add about 3-4 additional Raisinets per cookie.
  9. Cool cookies on baking sheet for about 10 minutes before serving.

  • 1 large egg

  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • cups quick oats
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups Raisinets

Instructions
