Dr Szabo came into the room prepared, which impressed me greatly. He had pulled all my previous surgical records and had made notations on them. He gave me options of potential scenarios for surgery day, and possible expectations and outcomes for each. My appointment didn't feel rushed in the slightest- he spoke to me with respect and cared about my input.

I was extremely frustrated. This provider would ask me a question, and while attempting to answer they would cut me off and ask me another question. I do not believe he listened to anything I said and he found any excuse to rush me out of the room.

Dr. Scott Szabo's bedside manner is terrible. He was arrogant and rude in the way he spoke from the very beginning of the appointment. Addressed one of 2 issues being seen for and was about to leave when reminded of other issue...acted annoyed that he had to step back and address. I would never recommend him.

Dr. Szabo was not only professional and thorough, but also very considerate and courteous with his diagnosis and treatment suggestions. I was very pleased and satisfied with my visit and I look forward to his follow up exam. I also loved his bow tie and colorful socks! Very impressive ;-)

Dr. Szabo ignored that I cannot bend my knee enough to go down steps. He did however give me the name of a guy who can fit my bicycle properly so that I can bend my knee while riding bike. I ride my bike a handful of times every year, but I have to go up and down steps daily. He was not concerned with my mobility for daily life.

This was one of the worst interactions I've ever had with a physician. Terrible bedside manner. Felt as though he was rushing through the exam (I don't need to sit and chat with a dr for an hour but there has to be a middle ground between that and churning out patients as fast as humanly possible). He came across as condescending. He seemed dismissive and defensive when I tried to discuss the diagnosis from my PCP. I left feeling like I knew less about my condition than when I arrived. Not a good interaction and one that will likely keep me from giving Tri Rivers any future business.
