My #WCW today is the #1 WNBA draft, Caitlin Clark! Caitlin, considered one of the greatest collegiate players of all time, was drafted this week to the Indiana Fever - - wearing Prada no less! I love this girl! - after completing her college basketball career with the Iowa Hawkeyes. She is the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer and was a two-time national player of the year with the Hawkeyes. Not to mention, she made a killer cameo this past weekend on SNL, where she roasted Weekend Update host Michael Che, and rightly so, for his track record of punch-down jokes about the WNBA. She was hysterical and it was all in good fun! Caitlin's poise, sheer talent on the court, and big media attention give her the rare opportunity to draw new interest in the grave salary gaps between men and women in basketball. As the #1 pick, she is still not making over $100K, while her male counterparts are literally bringing in $10 million a year. WHAT!? Can't wait to watch this girl SOAR and change the game in many many ways. You go girl!
