Olly Murs and his wife Amelia have welcomed their first child, a baby girl.

The singer and his wife announced they were expecting in December, five months after tying the knot in Essex.

Sharing the happy news that their little one was here on Wednesday, Olly posted a snap of the new parents walking hand-in-hand as they left the hospital with their daughter in her carry seat.

'Our mini murs has arrived, Madison we love you so much already,' he wrote alongside the picture, The couple received dozens of congratulations, with several of people saying they loved the couple's choice of name for their baby.

'Madison Murs, absolutely love it! Congratulations to you both and your families. Can’t wait to see yous smash parenthood,' wrote one person.

Someone else added, 'you’re a girl dad!! congratulations to you both,' while a third said: 'Congratulations guys. . So happy for you both. Enjoy every moment xx'

Olly and Amelia met in 2019 through social media and after a few flirty texts and a gym date, they have gone from strength to strength ever since.

They have shared several insights into Amelia's pregnancy over the past nine months including a sweet video of them sharing the news that they were expecting with friends and family.
